Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment in Eagle Grove, IA. The role involves monitoring premises, controlling access, patrolling sites, and enforcing client regulations while providing excellent service to employees and guests.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and the ability to stay calm during emergencies. Pre-employment screening, including background check and drug screen, is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises with access control and patrol various locations.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shift and conduct property tours.
• Carry out duties of similar nature as required for assigned site.

Primary Location: Eagle Grove, IA

Wage: $17.66/HR

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
