Job summary

R+L Carriers seeks Security Officers for our Dayton, OH Service Center. This part-time position requires guarding the terminal’s assets and responding to incidents, with a schedule of 6:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekends, and flexibility for additional shifts as needed.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, the ability to communicate in English, and a willingness to pass a background check and drug screen. Prior security or military experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends if needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk or patrol the facility for the majority of the shift.
• Verifiable ten-year work history.
• Prior military, police, or security guard experience preferred.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal history check and pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Providing protection for the terminal’s security interests and property from theft, fires, sabotage, vandalism, illegal entry, and other acts that may adversely impact the company.
• Other duties as assigned by management staff.

Working Hours: Part‑time, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday; must be flexible for additional shift coverage on other days.
