Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT. The role involves patrolling the center, managing front desk sign-in and badge distribution, and ensuring proper ID badge usage for staff and students to maintain safety.

You will support safety, control, and reporting across the facility, including responding to emergencies and assisting with student check-in/out according to procedures. The position offers full-time hours with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year security experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol center grounds and manage front desk sign-in and temporary badge distribution.
• Monitor use of ID badges by staff and students and ensure overall safety.
• Control, surveillance, investigation, and reporting of matters related to center property, facilities, students, staff, and visitors.
• Secure building by checking doors, windows, lights, and emergency equipment; maintain a findings log.
• Assist supervisors with student check-in/out according to policies; assist in transporting ill or injured students.
• Respond to fire alarms and aid in fire safety procedures; promote safety practices throughout the facility.

What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for patrolling center grounds, managing front desks for guests sign-in and temporary badges distribution, monitoring that all staff and students wear ID badges, and ensuring the safety of staff, students, and visitors. Control, surveillance, identification, monitoring, investigation, and reporting of all matters pertaining to center property, facilities, students, staff, and visitors.

Essential Functions

• Secure building and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment, maintaining a log of findings and corrective action taken
• Perform parking and traffic control duties
• Answer telephone calls and greet and assist visitors
• Assist supervisors and manager ensuring accountability of students check-in and out according to established policies and procedures
• Assist in transporting ill or injured students as required
• Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires, assist in suppressing fires and reset fire alarm equipment
• Promote, support, and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year security experience
• Valid driver’s license in the state of work with an acceptable driving record required
