The Security Officer at Clear Creek Tahoe is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, members, guests, and authorized visitors. The ideal candidate is empathetic, approachable, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction. This role is essential to preserving the safety, security, and peace of mind of the community. Key responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, patrolling the property, enforcing community rules, responding to emergencies, and assisting residents and visitors with professionalism. The Security Officer must also demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to both security and hospitality.

The Security Officer position is not a managerial or supervisory role, although they should demonstrate informal leadership amongst other CCT employees and peers.
This position operates primarily in a busy GateHouse environment and requires the use of a company vehicle to access all areas of the Clear Creek Tahoe property, including during inclement weather conditions. Security Officers work a variety of shifts, including days, swings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be flexible and dependable in their availability. The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, video surveillance DVRs, and a marked company vehicle. On occasion, Security Officers may also be required to use safety equipment such as AEDs, fire extinguishers, traffic flares, and cones in the event of an emergency.

This is a full-time security position. Days and hours of work vary, as security coverage is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Shifts may include days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Officers are expected to work holidays and support Clear Creek Tahoe special events as operational needs require. Occasional overtime may be required as directed by the Director of Security. Travel is mainly local during any shift, including South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno, or Truckee.
