Golden Acorn Casino & Travel Center in Campo, CA is seeking a Security role to monitor and maintain the Security Department's radio communications and all on-site alarm systems.

You will generate written incident reports, escort guests and employees for safety, coordinate with departments during emergencies, log information, and dispatch officers and medics as needed. Strong communication and attendance required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Generate written reports regarding security-related incidents.
  • Escort and observe customers and Employees for safety.
  • Communicate with all departments and Security Officers during emergencies.
  • Monitor all alarm systems on property and notify appropriate personnel or outside agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing information.
  • Dispatch Security Officers and EMTs to various areas as needed.
  • Maintain lost and found system.
  • Advise customers and employees about facilities and events when possible.
  • Ensure breaks and attendance are adhered to.
  • Attend departmental meetings to facilitate information flow.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Security Department's radio communication system, as well as monitoring all alarm systems on property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, Employees and/or the facility.
  • Escorts and observes customers and Employees, to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and report same to the appropriate individual, for proper resolution.
  • Communicates with all departments and Security Officers, to ensure security preparedness in the event of an emergency or other situation, which requires immediate attention.
  • Monitors all alarm systems on property, and notifies appropriate in-house personnel and/or outside agencies, as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate, thorough logs of all incoming and outgoing information.
  • Dispatches Security Officers and Emergency Medical Technicians to various areas of the property, as needed.
  • Maintain lost and found system.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Company's facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise customers and fellow Employees of same, whenever possible.
  • Ensures that all Security Employees are rotated sufficiently, and that their thirty-minute required breaks are adhered to.
  • Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Maintains a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.
  • Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the legal age, to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
  • Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
