Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Brooklyn Park, MN. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, monitoring premises, and performing access control. Paid training, benefits, and dailyPay options are available.

Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Wage: $24.65/HR

Schedule: Fri: 0830 - 1730 / Sat: 0830 - 1330

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including a urinalysis drug screen and a 10 year background investigation.
• CPR / First Aide certification.
• 1 year of security experience.
• Previous law enforcement or military experience preferred.
