Security Manager / Facility Security Officer (FSO)

Position Overview

Valiant has an immediate need to fill the Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) position at our Fayetteville, NC office. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, this role involves leading and implementing the DoD Industrial Security Program, including serving as Security Manager/FSO for the cleared entity based in Fayetteville.

Responsibilities & Requirements

1. Coordinate and monitor sensitive aspects of the DoD Industrial Security Program, ensuring compliance with government and company policies.
2. Understand and own the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures in accordance with 32 CFR part 117 - NISPOM and DCSA standards.
3. Support security standards related to Army Intelligence, Security Classification Specifications, and potentially Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
4. Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to make critical security decisions.
5. Serve as Security Manager/FSO, with responsibilities including ITPSO and CSSO duties.
6. Maintain compliance documentation, manage DISS records, conduct security inspections, and support peer review programs.
7. Act as Security Risk Manager and Business Continuity Coordinator.
8. Manage security in-processing, briefings, and security policies, including flow-down of DD Form 254 and facility access control.
9. Travel locally to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7+ years’ security experience.
• Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities.
• Experience managing comprehensive security programs, including insider threat initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency with DISS, NBIS, ACCS, NISS; experience with PSIP and SIMS is a plus.

Additional Information

Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, and extended sitting or standing. The role is primarily office-based.
