Team Leader, Security

Your Opportunity as the Team Lead Security

Provide leadership and direction to our internal Corporate Security team to ensure a strong connection to our Corporate Security Vision & Mission Statement. Make a meaningful impact to the safety of our employees through overseeing daily operations monitoring compliance and providing the highest level of customer service.

Location: Orrville OH

Work Arrangements: Onsite in Orrville OH

In this role you will:

  1. Oversee the Security Shift Leaders to ensure all aspects of the security function are performed in a diligent and professional manner (access control, badging, key control, video management, staffing levels, post orders, patrols, daily activity reports, incidents, emergency response – medical, fire alarms).
  2. Develop and assist in the ongoing training and professional development of Security Officers.
  3. Coordinate new hire training.
  4. Conduct Security Assessments at Company locations as directed by the Corporate Security Manager.
  5. Supervise the administration and completion of the Critical Task testing for Security Officers.
  6. Host monthly communication meetings with Shift Leaders and quarterly all-team meetings.
  7. Maintain daily, weekly, monthly shift schedules to ensure operational needs are met.
  8. Oversee the scheduling of Executive Protection assignments in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Work closely with our Executive Support team to deliver the highest quality of service to the company’s executives.
  10. Complete mid and year-end work performance evaluations of Shift Leaders.
  11. Provide superior customer service and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
  12. Develop and conduct training and/or presentations to cross-functional departments.
  13. Assist plant operations with security related tasks or projects.
  14. Report to and assist Corporate Security Manager with special assignments.
  15. Serve as backup to the Corporate Security Manager in their absence.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 4+ years' experience managing others
  2. Experience managing access control and video systems
  3. Strong customer service skills
  4. Detail oriented, takes initiative, and is adaptable to dynamic situations
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  7. Strong problem solving and writing skills
  8. Good knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  9. Able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays
  10. Ability to travel to Company facilities
