Job summary

Buffalo City Mission in Buffalo, NY seeks a full-time Manager of Security to safeguard residents and staff at our women’s shelter. This role requires on-call availability after hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include developing security plans, overseeing access control, surveillance, and alarms, conducting risk assessments, coordinating with outsourced security personnel, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent is a plus.
• Active New York State Guard License.
• Proven leadership experience in security management, preferably supervisory.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Able to articulate faith and walk with Jesus Christ.

Buffalo City Mission is seeking a Manager of Security. This position is full-time, working at our women’s shelter. This position requires on-call availability outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct security audits and inspections to assess compliance.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Active New York State Guard License
• Proven experience in security management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• In the midst of a mature walk with Jesus Christ and able to articulate belief.
