Westhab Inc. seeks a Security Manager to oversee safety at a NYC homeless shelter. The role reports to the Program Director and supervises Shift Supervisors and Security Officers, with 24/7 on-call requirements.
Responsibilities include enforcing DHS and Westhab policies, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining incident documentation. Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree (preferred) and at least three years in security, with NYS Guard licensing and crisis management skills.

The Security Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of clients and staff in a NYC homeless shelter. This position reports to the Program Director and is responsible for providing supervision to the Shift Supervisors and Safety Security Officers, and the day-to-day functions of the shelter. This position requires you to be on call 24/7.
Proof of education required. An Associate's Degree preferred, and at least three years of related security experience. NYS Security Guard license and F80 required. Supervisory experience is required. Must have demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, crisis management, and knowledge of video surveillance and fire alarm systems. Knowledge of CARES and DHS protocols preferred. Understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements is a plus. Valid NYS driver’s license required. 24-hour on-call for emergencies.
