Role Description

The Security Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Carolina, responsible for overseeing all security operations at Hyatt Centric San Juan. This role includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating daily security patrols throughout the property and associated facilities. The Security Manager monitors security systems and access controls, investigates incidents, prepares reports, and collaborates with hotel leadership to ensure a safe environment for guests, team members, and visitors. The individual in this position will also train and supervise security staff, liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services, and support security planning for events and high-occupancy periods.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Physical Security and Security Management to oversee property protection and security personnel.
• Knowledge of Information Security and Cybersecurity practices to help safeguard guest and organizational data.
• Experience in developing and enforcing security policies, incident response procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong leadership, team management, and training skills, with the ability to coordinate security staff across shifts.
• Proficient in incident reporting, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and act quickly during emergencies or critical situations.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP or equivalent) and prior experience in hospitality, facilities, or corporate security are highly beneficial.
• Working knowledge of local safety regulations and familiarity with coordinating security efforts in a hotel or large event environment.
