Job summary

Allied Universal in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care to protect students, staff and visitors while delivering exceptional service.

You will patrol campus areas, monitor access points, report incidents, and support safety procedures with calm, professional communication. Minimum 2 years security experience and a HS diploma required; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience required.

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following site procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot/vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious behavior and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other events in a calm, professional manner; coordinate with campus personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate written reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate written reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
