Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access-control procedures, and reporting of maintenance concerns or security-related issues.
• Prepare clear incident reports and activity logs and communicate information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures and contacting appropriate resources.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access-control procedures, and reporting of maintenance concerns, hazards, or security-related issues.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and activity logs and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
