Qualifications

• Two+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security procedures and campus policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas to identify and report hazards and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and document patrols, incidents, and daily activities per site requirements.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly campus by giving directions and reporting maintenance or access-control concerns.

You will engage with students, staff, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:15 PM - 10:15 PM
• Wed: 02:15 PM - 10:15 PM
• Thur: 02:45 PM - 10:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, documenting patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly campus environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, or access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
