Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Expert (SLP Expert) to lead end-to-end SL&P services across assigned units and report to the SLP Cluster Manager. The role requires strong data-driven decision making, investigations, and continuous improvement to reduce risk.

You will coordinate with leadership, conduct audits, manage incidents, and travel regionally up to 50% while supporting 24/7 operations across sites in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
• Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
• Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Serve as department's liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on department's key issues, strategies and the performance.
• Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitating and management.
• Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
• This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
