The U.S. House of Representatives is seeking an experienced liaison to the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) security programs. The incumbent will coordinate with Congressional offices, USCP, and other stakeholders to administer security services and process facility access and law enforcement support requests.

This role requires strong security knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with House policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in law enforcement, security, security management, emergency response, intelligence analysis or a related field.

  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn relevant SAA policies, House Rules, Committee rules, and USCP policies.

Job description

The incumbent processes requests for facility access, as well as law enforcement support requests. The incumbent serves as the SAA representative to the USCP Command Center and Protective Intelligence Operations Center. This job requires an understanding of security and law enforcement principles to ensure the delivery of security services to stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with or within the legislative branch or government. Familiarity with the Capitol Hill complex and its security protocols.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to senior-level staff.
  • Knowledge of incident reporting and management systems.
  • Background in intelligence analysis or threat assessment.
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., criminal justice, public administration, political science).

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, permanent position. The anticipated work schedule will be either Wednesday through Sunday or Saturday through Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The specific schedule will be determined based on operational needs.

The incumbent should be capable of meeting physical requirements, which may include sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, walking, and standing.
