Job summary

The U.S. House of Representatives is seeking an experienced liaison to the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) security programs. The incumbent will coordinate with Congressional offices, USCP, and other stakeholders to administer security services and process facility access and law enforcement support requests.

This role requires strong security knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with House policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in law enforcement, security, security management, emergency response, intelligence analysis or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The job requires preparing time-sensitive reports and communicating with various stakeholders.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and disseminate information effectively. This includes monitoring police activity, tracking incidents, and reporting information to senior staff.
• Experience in coordinating activities between different organizations or teams. The role involves liaison with the USCP and other entities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and process multiple tasks simultaneously. The job involves dealing with time-sensitive and event-driven situations.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn relevant SAA policies, House Rules, Committee rules, and USCP policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the SAA, Congressional offices, the USCP, and other stakeholders to administer security programs.
• Process requests for facility access, as well as law enforcement support requests.
• Represent the SAA to the USCP Command Center and Protective Intelligence Operations Center.
• Ensure delivery of security services to stakeholders through understanding of security and law enforcement principles.
