Job summary

TEKsystems in Saint Paul, MN is seeking entry-level Security Installation Technicians with a hands-on mindset to install and service burglar alarms, CCTV, access control, and related devices. This contract role offers on-site work and opportunities to learn and grow in the security industry.

Candidates from skilled trades or technical backgrounds, such as Best Buy Geek Squad or cable installation, are encouraged to apply. Training provided.

Qualifications

• CAT5/CAT6 cabling and wiring.
• Low-voltage systems experience.
• Electrical wiring knowledge.
• CCTV or security system familiarity.
• Use of hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Electronics troubleshooting.
• Field service or installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain burglar alarm systems.
• Install CCTV systems (IP and Analog) and DVR equipment.
• Install and service access control systems.
• Upgrade and convert existing security systems to newer technologies.
• Install and service window sensors, door contacts, smoke detectors, and related devices.
• Diagnose and resolve signal or connectivity issues.
• Test, verify, and document equipment performance and signal communication.
• Provide hands-on service and educate customers on system operation.
