Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Commercial Security Installer to support installation, testing, service, and troubleshooting of low‑voltage security and life safety systems in commercial settings. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience with fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and related systems and can work independently in the field.

The role requires reading blueprints, running cabling, device terminations, and testing.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience with low‑voltage, fire alarm, security, or electronic systems.
Experience with device installation, terminations, troubleshooting, and testing.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and security systems.
Perform device replacements, terminations, testing, and punch list work.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics.
Run and terminate low‑voltage cabling for security and life safety systems.
Test system functionality and verify proper operation.
Coordinate with customers to schedule and complete installations.
Complete required project documentation and service records.
Mentor and support junior technicians when needed.
