Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking an IT Service Management Specialist functioning as a Security Analyst within ITS/IPAM. You will support LAN operations, hybrid identity environments, and privileged access management for a large, city-wide user base.

The role emphasizes technical diagnostics, clear communication with non-technical staff, and maintaining secure enterprise systems across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field with four years of IT service management experience or equivalent.
• Alternatively, eight years of relevant experience in IT service management can satisfy the minimum.
• Equivalence of education and experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware and software design, implementation, and support for LAN in a secure hybrid environment.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure efficient enterprise operations.
• Explain capabilities and limitations to non-technical staff clearly.
• Administer and support hybrid identity environments (Active Directory on-prem and Entra ID cloud).
• Manage RBAC and identity lifecycle; perform Windows Server tasks and Power Platform support.
• Assist in secure access management for 66K+ users, 4,200+ groups, 300+ apps.
