Job summary

City of New York’s Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) IPAM is seeking an IT Service Management Specialist who will function as a Security Analyst. The role focuses on enterprise LAN production and development systems within a secure hybrid environment, administering AD and Entra ID, RBAC, and Windows Server tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 4+ years in IT service management.
• Experience in IT service management, process management, and operations.
• Equivalency of education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for hardware and software design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support for the Agency’s LAN production and development systems in a secure, hybrid environment.
• Perform technical diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure efficient enterprise operations.
• Provide technical assistance to customer area staff by communicating capabilities/limitations of LAN hardware and software in non-technical terms.
• Administer and support hybrid identity environments, including Active Directory (on-premises) and Entra ID (cloud); administer RBAC and identity lifecycle processes.
• Perform Windows Server administration tasks; administer Power Platform solutions; support mobile device access and privileged account management across 66K+ users, 4,200+ groups, and 300+ enterprise applications.
