Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks an Information Assurance Specialist to support a federal customer in the Washington DC area. You will apply knowledge of security processes, system hardening, and Azure DevOps practices to remove impediments and deliver value.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, baselines, remediation recommendations, and the development of security guidance and SOPs. Public Trust eligibility is required, and a collaborative, agile environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience leading daily scrums, sprint planning, and facilitating Scrum.
• Strong cyber security foundation and knowledge of computer/network fundamentals.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 controls and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform information security risk assessments across platforms and apps.
• Guide on security baselines and remediation options for stakeholders.
• Lead security team engagements and document SOPs for IA processes.
• Support risk management and internal controls with stakeholders.
• Ensure baked-in security in project proposals and changes.
