Job summary

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to join our growing team in Washington, DC. You will apply security engineering practices, help harden systems, and support Azure DevOps initiatives with Scrum principles to deliver secure, valuable outcomes.

You will conduct risk assessments, advise on baseline controls, and develop SOPs, leveraging CIS Benchmarks and NIST 800-53.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
3–5 years of network engineering and/or system administration experience.
Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 and ITIL certification.
Baseline security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH).

Responsibilities

Researches, writes, edits, and produces security data, guidelines, and policy.
Perform information security risk assessments across platforms and applications.
Lead security team engagements and develop standard operating procedures.
Align with the Cybersecurity Information Assurance organization vision and strategy.
Provide remediation recommendations to stakeholders and management.
