Job summary

Planet Technologies in the United States is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support critical public sector projects, applying security controls and risk management across Azure DevOps environments.

You will lead security assessments, develop guidance, and collaborate with stakeholders to bake-in security from design through deployment, leveraging NIST 800-53, ITIL practices, and ServiceNow workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience with network engineering and/or system administration background (Unix/Linux/Windows)
• Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps
• Experience leading daily scrums, sprint planning, and facilitating Scrum
• Strong familiarity with NIST Security Controls (NIST 800-53) and ITIL Certification
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Strong knowledge of security tools in enterprise environments
• Demonstrated security expertise with Windows and Unix-based operating systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Researches, organizes, writes, edits, trains, and produces technical data, guidelines, templates, and policy to support Security Engineering.
• Perform information security risk assessments across platforms and applications.
• Guide users in determining and integrating baseline security requirements and evaluate feasibility studies.
• Propose remediation/mitigating controls to minimize risk and support stakeholders.
• Address security concerns with proposed software/hardware projects to ensure baked-in security.
• Lead security team engagements to mature Information Assurance processes and SOPs.
• Support iterative review of security assessment results with stakeholders to manage risk and controls.
