Job summary

Bally in Dover, Delaware is seeking a security professional to patrol premises, deter criminal activity, and respond to emergencies. The role requires vigilance, good English communication, and the ability to provide assistance while maintaining a courteous, safety-first approach.

Starting at $15.00/hr, candidates must pass a background check, maintain CPR/First Aid certifications, and be available weekends, holidays, and nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must possess CPR, AED, First Aid certification or ability to obtain within probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to maintain safety and security.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and provide aid as necessary.
• Administer CPR/First Aid as required.
• Ensure no unauthorized persons enter licensed areas and verify licenses/insurance stickers.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and nuisances; protect patrons and staff.
• Complete and submit incident and safety reports as directed.
• Provide directions and information to patrons; assist in evacuations when needed.
• Assist in driving company vehicles when required.

Job description

• Patrols assigned areas and maintains surveillance of the premises to ensure the safety of patrons and employees.
• Patrols area to determine and guard against criminal offenses, pickpockets, nuisances, suspicious persons, etc.
• Quickly responds to any emergency situation as required, and gives aid as necessary.
• Physically lifts and removes patrons in difficult situations and administers C.P.R. if necessary.
• Ensures that no unauthorized persons enter the Paddock, Paddock Lounge without proper licensing.
• Checks for License and Insurance stickers for DD on reverse side and logs appropriate information.
• Enforces "No Smoking" in and around Lasik Barn.
• Provides escorts from the Money room to November Cage or Paddock Drivers Lounge.
• Raises and lowers flag daily.
• Opens and closes Roll Gate as needed.
• Utilizes radio to receive direction and communicate information.
• Completes and submits any reports concerning incidents that may occur as required or directed.
• Gives out information concerning facility such as directions to inquiring patrons.
• Assists in the evacuation of premises in the case of an emergency.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests.
• Follows all relevant policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as schedule

Must be able to remain vigilant at all times for unusual activity requiring assistance.

Must possess C.P.R., A.E.D, First Aid and certification or the ability to obtain the same within probationary period required. Certification must be maintained and renewed prior to expiration.

Must be able to visually and audibly determine undesirable persons and crisis situations.

Must be able to learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments, and to maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques.

Must be able to perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency.

Must possess good communication skills

Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire

Some Security employees will be assigned to drive company vehicles as part of their work duties. Not every Security employee will be assigned this task on a regular basis, however it may be required without prior planning or notice. Therefore, although it is not an absolute requirement, it is preferred that Security employees possess valid driver’s licenses with a clean driving records as evidence of insurability with regard to the operation of company vehicles.
