Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking security professionals to join our team in Lima, OH. This full-time role requires unarmed patrols, front-line customer service, and strict adherence to site policies and safety procedures. You will be expected to respond to incidents, monitor access, and document activities accurately.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment; a valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of industrial buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; escalate when needed to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities with clear, accurate reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of industrial buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and reporting access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
