Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Ashburn, VA. You will protect and assist students, staff, and visitors while patrolling campuses, monitoring access, and responding to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday day schedule with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour. Bring strong customer service skills, a valid guard card if required, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity in a dynamic education environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence in a school environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a school environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
