Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistant in Allen, TX. You will provide customer service, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents.

You’ll document activity and respond to concerns while adhering to site policies and procedures. Requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of security-related experience minimum.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per law.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in retail and mall areas, including sales floors and entrances.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations, deterring theft with a visible presence.
• Document observations and incidents accurately; communicate with site contacts, law enforcement, and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including sales floors, entrances, exits, common areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, helping to deter theft and other unwanted activity through a visible presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately; communicate relevant information to site contacts, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
