Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will monitor premises, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors, supporting a welcoming environment. Schedule is Monday and Wednesday nights (10:00 PM – 06:00 AM).

Pay rate is $17.04 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screen, with a valid driver's license for driving

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Background histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; follow escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities; communicate findings to management.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
