Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will provide frontline security, greet employees, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a technology-focused site.

Role requires at least 1 year of security experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and background checks and drug screening. Flexible day/evening shifts available, with opportunities for training and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Help support the orderly movement of people and vehicles by observing dock activity, reporting access-control concerns, and following established traffic and visitor-management procedures.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
