Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Rockport, TX. You will monitor campus areas, deter incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professional service.

The position is full-time with a daytime schedule and paid at $14.21 per hour. Candidates should have security experience, be at least 18, and able to lift up to 20 lbs; licensing is preferred where required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Rockport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and work collaboratively with Allied Universal teammates while demonstrating agility, reliability, innovation, caring, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.


• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.


• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.


• Alarm panel experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
