Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in a manner consistent with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by following site procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify entry per site procedures, report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and following procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs and communications with site representatives and leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
