Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking a security professional for night shifts (6:00 pm–7:30 am) on a 3-day week schedule, with initial 8-hour shifts Monday–Friday during the first 2–3 weeks, then transitioning to 6:00 pm–7:30 am shifts. The role involves institutional security work, monitoring facilities, and coordinating with supervisors.

Responsibilities include screening entrants, documenting belongings, responding to emergencies, maintaining logs, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls and emergencies, may respond to Code Situations.
• Control entrance and exit by verifying identity and purpose of visit; escort individuals for safety.
• Prepare and maintain records such as incident reports, visitor logs, and property reports.
• Communicate with law enforcement; monitor facilities and security systems.
• Operate patrol vehicles and two-way radios to complete security tasks.

Night Shift 6:00 pm-7:30 am/3 Days week

The first 2-3 weeks will be 8-hour shifts M-F with exception of week 1 which is Fri only with Human Resources. Employee will then transition to 6p-730a shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school; qualifying full-time law enforcement, security, or related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Other Requirements: A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Job Overview

Under general supervision, the employee is responsible for institutional and related security work of average difficulty and performs related work as required. An employee in this class may be assigned to work any shift to provide a full range of institutional and other security activities, such as protecting public buildings.

Work Activities

• Assists in Admissions with processing patients (i.e., wanding with a metal detector, pat downs, etc.). Responsible for reviewing and documenting the patient's belongings.
• Responds to calls and take appropriate action to assist in emergencies. May be required to respond to Code Situations.
• Controls entrance and exit of individuals by checking for identity, purpose of visit, and authorization. Escorts individuals to ensure their safety.
• Prepares and maintains records such as incident reports, vehicle citations, logs of visitors and others, and personal property reports. Provides information to supervisor by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person to advise of any security concerns.
• Communicates with law enforcement agencies to report incidents, provide information, and request assistance. Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings: Patrols facilities, monitors alarms and utilizes audiovisual and security systems (e.g., TV monitors) to check for security hazards, disturbances, and violations of pertinent laws, rules, and regulations. Visually monitors individuals to ensure safety and compliance with policies, rules, and regulations.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Operates patrol and transport vehicles to complete security patrols or transport valuables and individuals. Controlling Machines and Processes: Operates two-way radios and other communications devices to accomplish security tasks.

Onboarding Documents and Information

BG, State ID, and SS card, and Primary source licensure.

All employees must provide proof of a negative TB skin test before hire or receive a skin test during new employee orientation at MBMHI.

From November 1- March 31, employees must provide proof of a flu vaccination before hire. Flu vaccines may be provided during new employee orientation at MBMHI. Requests for exemption to the flu vaccine must be submitted to Mary C. Young, CEO, for review prior to hire. All exemption requests are subject to CEO approval.

Failure to comply with these requirements will constitute breach of contract, and the contract will be terminated.
