Job summary

Nleague Services Inc is seeking an unarmed Security Guard in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves night shifts from 6:00 pm to 7:30 am for 3 days a week, with the first 2-3 weeks on 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday (Friday-only in week 1 with HR).

After onboarding, shifts transition to 6:00 pm–7:30 am. Responsibilities include admissions support, incident documentation, access control, emergency response, and coordination with law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school; related security experience may substitute for the required education.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs security work of average difficulty and may be assigned to any shift to provide a full range of institutional security activities.
• Assist in Admissions with processing patients (wanding with a metal detector, pat downs, etc.) and document belongings.
• Respond to calls and emergencies; may respond to Code Situations.
• Control entrance and exit by checking identity and authorization; escort individuals for safety.
• Prepare and maintain records: incident reports, vehicle citations, visitor logs, property reports; notify supervisor of security concerns.
• Communicate with law enforcement and request assistance as needed.
• Patrol facilities, monitor alarms, and operate security systems to detect hazards and violations.
• Visually monitor individuals to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Operate patrol vehicles and two-way radios to perform security tasks.

Duration: 8+ Months

Night Shift 6:00 pm-7:30 am/3 Days week

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school; qualifying full-time law enforcement, security, or related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Other Requirements: A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.

Job Overview:

• Under general supervision, the employee is responsible for institutional and related security work of average difficulty and performs related work as required. An employee in this class may be assigned to work any shift to provide a full range of institutional and other security activities, such as protecting public buildings.

Work Activities:

• Assists in Admissions with processing patients (i.e., wanding with a metal detector, pat downs, etc.). Responsible for reviewing and documenting the patient's belongings.
• Responds to calls and take appropriate action to assist in emergencies. May be required to respond to Code Situations.
• Controls entrance and exit of individuals by checking for identity, purpose of visit, and authorization. Escorts individuals to ensure their safety.
• Prepares and maintains records such as incident reports, vehicle citations, logs of visitors and others, and personal property reports. Provides information to supervisor by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person to advise of any security concerns.
• Communicates with law enforcement agencies to report incidents, provide information, and request assistance.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings: Patrols facilities, monitors alarms and utilizes audiovisual and security systems (e.g., TV monitors) to check for security hazards, disturbances, and violations of pertinent laws, rules, or regulations.
• Visually monitors individuals to ensure safety and compliance with policies, rules, and regulations.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Operates patrol and transport vehicles to complete security patrols or transport valuables and individuals.
• Controlling Machines and Processes: Operates two-way radios and other communications devices to accomplish security tasks.
