As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report access-control issues or unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
