The Kinetic Group is seeking a Security Guard for our Lewiston, Idaho location. The role protects employees, facilities and assets with rounds, fire watch, and access control.

You will log daily activities, respond to incidents, and follow established security procedures. The position requires alertness, reliability, and the ability to work 9pm-5am on weekdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
• Threat response training within 90 days of employment.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Make foot and vehicle rounds to secure the plant.
• Perform fire watch during rounds.
• Watch for theft, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
• Check for illegal entry and log all activity daily.
• Follow Standard Works for Security Guard duties.
• Report leaks and mechanical faults of equipment.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates; ensure they are closed/locked.
• Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents on site.
• Check badges of employees accessing the plant.
• Conduct random searches of vehicles and entrants.
• Warn violators and document infractions (loitering, trespassing, etc.).
• Patrol parking areas on foot or by vehicle; issue parking violations.
• Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios.
• Escort employees with leadership or law enforcement.
• Use fire extinguisher for small incipient fires.

Pay Range:$17.84 - $24.95The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.Job DescriptionOur Lewiston location is looking for a Security Guard to provide basic plant security to protect employees, facilities, and plant assets.Must be able to work any shift, including Swing shift: 9pm-5am Monday-FridayMake foot and/or vehicle-assisted rounds. Perform fire watch during rounds.Watch for theft. Look for vandals and vandalism.Check for illegal entry. Logs all activity in daily logbook, such as items that are not routine.Follow Standard Works for Security Guard.Report leaking pipes. Report mechanical faults of machinery and equipment.Check doors and windows that are supposed to be closed and locked. Check gates to ensure they are closed and/or locked if appropriate.Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents.Check badges of employees accessing plant. Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees entering and exiting the plant.Warns violators and documents any infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.Make periodic patrol of parking lots, either on foot or by driving vehicle. Issue parking violations and watch for suspicious activity.Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios. Escort employees and others off plant with plant leadership or law enforcement.Use fire extinguisher to put out small, incipient-type fires.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school or GED equivalent.Good communication skills, both written and oral.Must possess basic mathematics skills.Must be able to work under stressful conditions.Must be trained in threat response within 90 days of employment.Must be certified in First Aid/CPR within 6 months of hire.Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision.Must have valid driver’s license without restrictions.Must not be considered a \"prohibited person\" under the GCA and SEA.Work Environment:Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
