Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security services at a rail transport site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The pay rate is $23.88 per hour with weekend evenings schedule (Sat and Sun 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM). This position emphasizes customer service, incident response, and regular patrols, with growth toward full-time

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a rail transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of station areas, platforms, parking areas, employee spaces, and the surrounding perimeter; conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, access concerns, and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and supporting orderly operations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
