Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Observation in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to support critical operations through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring, reliable approach.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
