Responsibilities

• Patrols interior/exterior areas or stands post as instructed to deter crime and enforce rules.
• Monitors video surveillance to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
• Inspects doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Reports irregularities such as hazards or unlocked doors.
• Verifies identification of employees/visitors.
• Detains unauthorized persons and hands over to authorities if needed.
• Investigates disturbances and responds to emergencies; maintains order and safety.
• Liaises with emergency response units and notifies authorities when needed.
• Initiates alarms and contacts police or fire services in emergencies.
• Guides manufacturing staff on safety and policy compliance.
• Reports security issues to supervisors promptly.
• Completes Daily Activity Reports accurately and timely.
• Makes recommendations to improve safety and security measures.
• Ensures SOPs, cGMPs, and safety practices are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking aSecurity Guard to join our team! The Security Guard is responsible for protecting the property from damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and illegal entry. They will document suspicious activities, criminal acts, and infractions at or near their assigned post. Travels to local facilities as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Patrols the facility interior/exterior areas or stands post as instructed to serve as a security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions.
• Monitors video surveillance system to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and solicitors.
• Walks throughout the buildings and grounds examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured.
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unlocked.
• Ensures and enforces proper identification of employees and/or visitors.
• Detains unauthorized persons found on client property, and releases them to custody of proper
• authorities.
• Investigates disturbances, and responds to emergencies, maintains order and safety of personnel.
• Serves as liaison with emergency response unit(s).
• Sounds alarm and/or calls police, fire, or emergency personnel by phone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized persons, or medical emergencies.
• Provides direction for the manufacturing associates/department, including: safety, production schedule attainment, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Reports security issues, health and/or safety to appropriate supervisor as soon as practical.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports accurately and on time.
• Makes recommendations on improving safety and security measures and processes.
• Follows/enforces that everyone adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Good
• Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.
• Completes other projects and duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard Card with 2 years of experience in a Security role.
• Able to write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs).
• Communication Skills (Oral & Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations.
• Honesty/Integrity - follow through with company values and providing exceptional quality products.
• Problem Solving - works systematically and logically to resolve problems, able to identify causation and anticipate results.
