As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Incident Prevention in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will conduct routine inspections, report concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government administrative location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as directed, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, public waiting areas, offices, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observed conditions, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
