Job summary

Allied Universal in Plainfield, IN is seeking an unarmed Security Guard Perimeter Patrol. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. This is a full-time position with a daytime to evening schedule and a pay rate of $17.75 per hour.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening. Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

As a Security Guard Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge access procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
