Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Afternoons in Amana, IA. This role involves providing access control, patrolling a manufacturing and industrial site, and delivering excellent customer service.

A valid driver’s license is required for driving duties, and background checks and drug screening may apply. As a full-time driver patrol, you will work afternoons with a focus on safety, clear communication, and professional conduct while supporting a welcoming work

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify ID and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access logs.
• Control entry/exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to access-control alarms and incidents in a calm, solution-focused manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations.

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Afternoons in Amana, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials as directed, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
