Job summary

Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA is hiring a Security Guard Patrol Condition Assessment to safeguard client sites across tech/telecom spaces. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and project a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role pays $25.00 per hour, with night shifts Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. You will complete incident and daily logs, enforce access controls, and respond calmly to incidents,

Qualifications

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, enforcing authorized entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity, incident, and daily logs while communicating with site contacts and leadership.

• Mon 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with the enforcement of authorized entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
