Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks and entrances to deter incidents.
• Monitor access and verify authorized personnel, visitors and vehicles; document entries and observations.
• Support the flow of deliveries by observing dock activity, reporting irregularities and following post orders.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care.

Job Schedule:

• Wednesday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarm activations, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, distribution areas, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site procedures.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements; document entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Support the orderly flow of deliveries and outbound shipments by observing loading dock activity, reporting irregularities, and following established post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
