Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Guard in Raleigh, NC. You will guard facilities, provide customer service to patients and staff, and conduct patrols to deter incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role offers flexible weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM) and a pay rate of $20.46 per hour, with opportunities to grow through our Shift-claim platform and training programs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding property to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner following facility protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization, and documenting visitor/contractor/incident information.
• Communicate observations and incidents and prepare clear, accurate reports per site requirements.

• Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.

• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and incident information.
• Communicate observations and incidents to appropriate personnel and prepare clear, accurate reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
