Allied Universal in Miami is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer with at least one year of security experience to protect a luxury retail location. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist guests, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment while following site procedures.

The role offers flexible weekend shifts, on-site work, and a pay rate of $19.03 per hour, with opportunities to learn, earn more via shift claims, and grow within a trusted security team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail associates while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, and incidents to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and following site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist with access control and visitor inquiries.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stockroom-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence, assist with access control and visitor inquiries, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
