Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Louisville, KY, to provide security and customer service at a designated site. This role offers flexible shifts within a leading security and facility services company.

As a Part-Time Enhanced Unarmed Guard, you will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe environment while earning a competitive hourly wage. A fixed anchor shift is required to establish your base schedule.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Louisville, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
