Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Part Time Patrol Facility Inspection in Norfolk, VA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence for a technology/telecom site.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts and a pathway to grow within a leading security services company. A Guard Card/License is preferred and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors on site.

Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations and relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
