Allied Universal in Nyack, NY is seeking a part‑time Security Officer – Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible hours at a designated site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $22.12–$23.12 per hour, with a day-time schedule on Saturdays 07:30 AM to 03:00 PM. This position supports student, staff, and visitor safety and includes incident reporting and patrol duties.

As a Security Guard Part Time Patrol in Nyack, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate – $22.12 – $23.12 / Hour

Job Schedule – DayTimeSat07:30 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report unauthorized individuals or unusual conditions to designated personnel.


• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations with school administration, Allied Universal leadership, and/or responding agencies as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
