Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a part-time Security Guard X Ray Package Screening. You will serve and safeguard clients across logistics and distribution, and build a schedule using our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Screener, you will conduct screening, monitor access, maintain visible presence, and deliver professional customer service while collaborating with the team. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and deliveries via screening procedures and incident response.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages per access-control rules.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and direct authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security events calmly and report them.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages in accordance with established access-control and prohibited-item procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
